All About Me

HI EVERYONE I am Lucy from Grade 8. Yeah I am the only girl boarder in Grade 8 this year. I am 13, I am from China, I love playing the piano, reading and listening to music.

China:

China is a pretty big country, there are about 1,300,000,000 people in China, kinda crowded. China has long history, about five thousand years. There are many famous people in China’s history, like the person once on the screen of the chapel, Laozi. There are many traditions in China, there are many festivals. Recently there was a festival called ”MId-Autumn Festival”. And the National day is on October 1st. But the most important festival is the Spring festival. In the past, Chinese people made a special calendar by observing the moon. And the Spring Festival is on the eve of the first day of the year of that calendar. On the Spring Festival Eve, every family get reunion, and have a big dinner. Nowadays we set up fireworks those days.

PS:we do not cook Chinese noodles like Brownhall do.

My School in China:

The education system in China is completely different to Canada. There are several classes in one grade, and the class never change, that means we have the same classmates for years. We stay in the same classroom, and the teachers come into our classrooms and give classes. Expect the classes like PE, Music, Art and so on.

My Biggest Hobby:

I think my biggest hobby is playing the piano. I started playing it since I was 4. So I have played it for about 9 years. At first I thought it was annoying, but as the time passed by, I found that it was quite interesting, and the music I am playing become more and more complicated, and more beautiful. Now I practice it almost every day, and I think it is a great way to relax.

PS:I also like reading, playing tennis, listening to music, etc.
